Drinking Water Evaluations
Performed numerous drinking water evaluations at private residences, businesses, municipalities, and public and private schools. Activities typically included reviewing previous drinking water quality results; contacting municipal, public, and private water supply systems, assessing the construction material of the water distribution lines, and reviewing drinking water quality reports and water treatment; determining the source of the drinking water (surface water, shallow well, bedrock well); performing site inspections to evaluate water components within the building (i.e., piping, values, fittings, faucets, presence of an on-site water treatment systems, etc.); collecting drinking water quality samples from different water components (water fountains, faucets, etc.) for chemical analysis; taking field measurements during drinking water quality sampling; evaluating the drinking water quality data and potential geochemical reactions that may occurring; and preparing reports and providing recommendations for mitigating the drinking water quality problems.
